It is with a very heavy heart that the Saginaw community mourns the loss of Ayat Malik. Ayat was a grade two student in Mrs. Vandenbos and Mrs. Drake’s class this year. 

Ayat had the best sense of humour and loved music and singing. She loved jokes and was always laughing. She will be missed for her warm smile and sense of fashion. She had such a presence.

Flags at the Education Centre and the school will be lowered to half mast this week in Ayat’s honour.

Our thoughts are with the Malik family.
