Carnaval d’hiver

There’s a long history of celebrations lasting from late January to mid-February in Quebec City. In the worldwide capital of snow, the first large-scale winter carnival took place in 1894. These festivities helped a population often faced with harsh winters to warm their hearts during the cold season. Saginaw is ready to send winter off for the season with its own unique style!
Tomorrow Saginaw Stars will be participating in a wide array of winter activities including events such as Hockey de tir, Relais de guimauve, Peinture de neige and many other events.  Please ensure all STARs are warmly dressed as they will be outdoors for two hours. Of course a warm-up of hot chocolate will be part of our festivities.  There is even a rumour of Bonhomme himself making an appearance.
