ARTSHINE is coming to Saginaw Public School!

In this session students will be exploring the following themes and mediums:

Classic Art with a Modern Twist: Children will become familiar with the work of classic artists such as Edvard Munch, Andy Warhol and Vincent van Gogh. Children will channel their inner creativity to design unique modern pieces that incorporate wide variety of art mediums such as printmaking, oil pastels & chalk pastels.

Inspired by Canadian Artists: Our young artists will be inspired from a variety of artists whose work can be found coast-to-coast in Canada including Barbara Reid, Ted Harrison and Bill Reid. Mediums range from sculpting to watercolour to drawing.

Marvelous Masks: This fun and interactive theme focuses on the importance of masks in different cultures from around the world. During this session, children will be experimenting with mixed mediums to create their own African and Season-Inspired Masks.

*Students will be introduced to cursive writing as a creative and engaging warm up.
