As the school year winds down for our students and families, we want to take a moment to have some fun. The last two years have been challenging for many, yet our students, staff and families have persevered. To celebrate, we want to let loose and provide a mini wellness break for everyone, including YOU.

On Monday, June 20 at 11am, we invite you to join us for a moment of movement.

Our Goal

Our goal is to have our entire community participate. We are challenging you to dance and move with us. Oh, and help us break a Guinness World Record for most people performing a choreographed dance online simultaneously! The current record: 733 people.

How to participate

  1. Learn this dance by watching these two simple-to-follow video tutorials. Thanks to the talented dancers at Forest Heights Collegiate Institute (FHCI), here is the final version of what the dance will look like!
  2. Video record yourself, your friends and/or family doing the dance.
  3. Post the video as an Instagram Reel no earlier than Monday, June 20 at 11am, and include the hashtag #LetsMoveWRDSB in the caption.

How do I create an Instagram Reel? Here is a tutorial video.

That’s it.

We hope you will join us, and show our students and staff just how important (and fun) it is to dance and take a wellness break.
