Help Us Make A Difference For Families In Need

Next week, from October 3rd-7th, Saginaw will be collecting canned and dry goods to donate to the local Food Bank. Did you know that in 2013, approximately 34,735 residents in Waterloo Region used services provided by the Food Bank? Community food drives like ours help make sure families can get emergency food assistance when they need it.

Please give what you can. One grocery bag of food can provide as many as 11 meals. Every single donation helps, and together we hope our combined donations will make a real difference for those in need.

Saginaw has created some fun food categories for the week:

  • Marvelous Macaroni Monday (all types of pasta)
  • Terrific Tuna Tuesday (tinned meat and fish)
  • Wonderful Washing Wednesday (soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine hygiene products)
  • Thirsty Thermos Thursday (soups, juices)
  • Fabulous Fruits and Veggies Friday (tinned fruits and vegetables)
  • All other non-perishable food items are also welcome.

Donations will be collected each morning in the classrooms. Thank- you for your help!
